Administrative Council at West Africa Theological Seminary

The Administrative Council of West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS) is charged with the responsibility for the day-to-day running of the seminary. It consists of the following members by virtue of their roles:

  1. Provost, who shall serve as the Chairman
  2. Deputy Provost
  3. Vice Provost for Administration
  4. Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
  5. Registrar
  6. Director of Finance
  7. Director of Communication and Fundraising
  8. Administrative Officer
  9. Director of Christian Ministries
  10. Director of Urban and Holistic Ministry
  11. Dean of Student Affairs
  12. Director of Special Duties

The functions of the Administrative Council shall include:

  • Being in charge of the management and actual day -to-day running of the Seminary, through the administrative officers
  • Appointing the administrative officers of the seminary except the Provost, the Deputy Provost and the Vice Provosts
  • Confirming the appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff
  • Forming itself into committees as needed, including standing committees
    1. Disciplinary Committee
    2. Appointment and Promotion Committee
    3. Scholarship and Award Committee
  • Reporting to the Governing Council through the Provost
