Perhaps more than anything else, Brigadier General Teidi has become known far and wide for his contributions to humanity. For decades he has made continuous provision for orphans, widows and others in destitute circumstances, including sponsorship of education up to the university level. He has been very generous in supporting various churches and church projects. He has been particularly generous in providing scholarships for students from his own village and surrounding areas, as well as sponsorship of various candidates into the Nigerian Army and Airforce. He has been very eager and active in the spreading of the Gospel through the distribution of Bible-related materials, both in Nigeria and in the UK.

Over the past ten years Brigadier Samuel L. Teidi (rtd) has demonstrated over and over again that he is completely committed to and excited about West Africa Theological Seminary. Again and again he has contributed funds from his own pocket, but has also gone far beyond that to travel throughout Nigeria to represent WATS to others and to introduce the WATS leadership to people of eminence and financial means who could get behind the WATS vision. He has served selflessly as a trustee of the seminary, and has been the friend that every seminary could wish to have in high places. We salute Brigadier Samuel Teidi as a true friend and brother and one who is worthy of our highest recognition.
